The organizers of IPAC'16 are delighted to invite exhibitors to the 7th International Particle Accelerator Conference to be held at BEXCO in Busan, Korea from May 8 to 13, 2016. This annual conference has been held on a rotating basis in Asia/Oceania, Europe, and the Americas since 2010, and combines previous continental accelerator conferences. This is the third IPAC to be held in Asia.
IPAC'16 is expected to attract over 1,200 scientists, engineers, and students from accelerator laboratories and universities around the world. These participants will include many decision-makers from major international laboratories, universities, and companies.
The number of funded accelerator projects is growing worldwide, with various applications such as synchrotron light sources, X-ray free electron lasers (XFEL), high-energy and nuclear physics experiments, and medical applications. In Korea alone, there are two large-scale accelerators currently in operation: PLS-II (light source) and KOMAC (proton linac). There are also three large-scale projects under construction: PAL-XFEL, RISP (rare isotope accelerator), and KHIMA (carbon therapy accelerator), as well as numerous small-scale accelerators throughout the country. Whether large or small, accelerator labs require ongoing maintenance and upgrades.
The industrial exhibition is an opportunity to learn about existing and future accelerator projects and to present products, services, and publications of interest to the international accelerator community. IPAC'16 invites companies and organizations to participate in the industrial exhibition, which is fully integrated into the conference scientific program and professional networking activities. Conference poster sessions and coffee breaks will be located throughout the Exhibition Hall in order to maximize interaction between industrial exhibitors and conference participants.
A special Session on Engagement with Industry will take place on Wednesday afternoon from 14:00 to 16:00. The talks are organized with industry in mind. Talk titles include:
